Ohhhh! The 522 in the middle of the day.
A gentleman gets on with his guitar.
Just the guitar.
Bangs it on the door frame upon entry….then again on the seat as he sits down.
Someone tells him to “be careful”.
To which he replies….”I know! It’s a Fender.”
Pfft. When signs mean nothing…. the “Bus Only Lane” on Cherry is actually the presumed zipper lane for those on the left that do not want to wait for the actual lane meant for cars. The magic and annoyance of impatience.
There are mornings, on the 312, when the seats in the front are mostly women. Some are sipping coffee, anxiously timing bumps and enthusiastic breaking, as they attempt to enjoy their beverages over roads not indented for such activities.
Others are expertly penciling in Sudoku as they desperately try to balance with each lurching stop…
Then are two ladies…older, smiling, deep in conversation. They load on to the bus two stops from one another. It is 6:47 in the morning, but it could be any other time of the day. They seem to pick up as if one had set the phone down to put the kettle on.
This is the magic of the metro… #seattle #kcmetro
I think our operator on the 312 knows I’m out of shape…
His braking is providing a rather efficient core workout.
Standing at the bus stop in the rain makes me chuckle…
The 312 arrives and dudes are checking out how they look in their reflection of the giant windows.
Don’t worry, bud…we are all looking the same. It’s Seattle!
A rather unhappy-looking older man on the bus asked our driver if there was a dog onboard…. Because “the bus smells like “dog shit”.”
He may not ride the bus very often.
